Mission of Division of Education

In the Division of Education, a variety of knowledge related to radiation will be transmitted to students, radiation users, specialists in other fields, and the general public through university-wide education, training and outreach activities on radiation, based on an education system spanning across fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, and management science.

We will also aim at creating an international education base, and promote on-campus and off-campus education on radiation and nuclear energy, and development of human resources. In addition to promoting International Healthcare Professional Development Program in collaboration with IAEA, we will support educational programs such as Medical Physicist Training Program, which is implemented as part of the Cancer Professional Training Plan, across departments.

General Education

In addition to providing radiation education as general education for university students, we will teach basic knowledge on radiation to staff engaged in work with exposure to radiation, researchers, and teachers from other fields.

Practical Education

We will develop industry-ready human resources who will be able to work in the field of radiation. For this, in addition to promoting International Healthcare Professional Development Program in collaboration with IAEA, we will support educational programs such as Medical Physicist Training Program, which is implemented as part of the Cancer Professional Training Plan, across departments.

Further Education

We are the citizens of Japan, the only country on which atomic weapons have been used, and our knowledge about radiation should be extensive and accurate compared to the people of any other country.
We will contribute to education so that people can learn about radiation.
